Skittenz
Skittenz, a winter sports gear company based in Golden, Colorado, has introduced a new product within the ski and snowboard market: skins for mittens and gloves featuring integrated trail maps of popular ski resorts. This innovative design allows skiers and snowboarders to slide the resort maps directly onto their existing gloves or mittens, eliminating the need to use a phone or unfold a paper map, and allowing them to spend more time enjoying the mountain.
Skittenz are crafted from recycled polyester and coated with a PFAS-free durable water repellent, ensuring both environmental responsibility and long-lasting performance. The nearly-universal fit, achieved through 4-way-stretch fabric and an open thumbhole design, allows users to easily slide their existing gloves or mittens into the skins. This versatility ensures compatibility with a wide range of gloves and mittens.
Skittenz are patent-pending and are now available for purchase at www.skittenz.com, with prices ranging from $30 to $35 per pair.
Heel
Heel announces the Heel Virtual Dog Leash™ – Roam 350™ – the first-ever virtual leash that is designed to automatically keep up to three dogs near their owners – while on the move. Heel’s mission is to enable dogs to spend more time together with their humans outdoors, taking on new adventures.
The built-in-the-USA technology was originally developed during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure social distancing between humans. Unlike some brands that offer static containment, the Heel Virtual Dog Leash™ allows the dog owner to set the length of the virtual leash, and then the virtual boundary moves with the human as they move.
Heel™ technology does not rely on cellular, GPS, or WiFi, making it suitable for remote locations – such as on the hiking trail or off-the-grid. There is also no subscription required.
Heel’s AUTOPROX™ technology works anywhere your adventures take you and is extremely accurate, allowing for a virtual leash as short as 10 feet and up to 750 feet. Heel™ automatically measures how far the collar is from the remote and provides a tone or vibration correction when a dog approaches the boundary. There is also an optional static correction when the dog exceeds the set boundary.
Heel Virtual Dog Leash™ – Roam 350™ Tech Specs:
- Set a virtual boundary that moves with you from 10 feet up to 750 feet.
- No cellular or GPS required.
- No subscription costs.
- Works with 1-3 dogs.

GOREWEAR introduces its new Fall/Winter 2024 product lineup, including updates to the brand’s popular Concurve and Spinshift collections. Each collection expands upon its technical performance, adding new fall/winter specific thermal styles.
Starting with run – and building off the 2023 ISPO award-winning Concurve GORE-TEX Jacket – the expanded Concurve collection includes short tights, ¾ tights, full-length tights, full-length thermo tights, and new colors of the GORE-TEX rain jacket. Each product incorporates Kinetic Garment design, providing absolute freedom of movement, and is available in both men’s and women’s styles.
The Concurve Thermo Tights (MSRP $120) are made with dope-dyed, recycled, thermo brushed, cozy polyester stretch fabric that provides a “barely-there” feel. These tights are also updated with thoughtfully placed pockets, an adjustable waistband, and reflective details.
The Concurve Tights (MSRP $90) are the brand’s lighter, cooler version of the Concurve Thermos. They feature increased storage. The Concurve Short Tights (MSRP $80) and Concurve ¾ Tights (MSRP $90) are the shorter versions of the full tight, and feature all of the same features and details.
