Spokane, Washington-based GSI Outdoors, a camp kitchen and hydration gear company, announced it has hired Justin Walford as executive vice president for GSI Outdoors and Pelican International and Tyler Botts as brand marketing manager to GSI.
Walford has worked on wholesale and direct-to-consumer teams for brands like G3 Genuine Guide Gear and Icebreaker Merino Clothing, where he served as vice president and general manager of North America.
“GSI builds some of the best outdoor kitchen products in the industry today, and I look forward to supporting our rapid growth by leveraging the strengths of the Pelican International family,” Walford said in a release.
GSI Vice President Don Scott said Walford has a strong background in managing and developing companies in the outdoor industry, “which will help us in our next chapter of growth and success.”
Botts has more than 15 years of experience working on brands and consumer categories, both from the in-house and agency side.
He’ll focus on direct-to-consumer, e-commerce growth, and introducing new customers to GSI’s catalog of outdoor camping and cooking products.
