Atomic is leveraging its brand appeal to enter the apparel segment. With the launch of the Backland and Revent All-Mountain collections, the 2024/25 season marks the beginning of a new journey, which has been supported by the hiring of Janosch Bechtel. With ski clothing designed by skiers, for skiers, the goal is to win over customers with well-engineered functionality and modern design.
As a brand rooted in the heart of the Alps, Atomic aims to connect skiers to the mountains through exceptional product experiences. Since 1955, Atomic has pushed the boundaries of ski innovation, developing world-class equipment for all skill levels—from beginners to world champions.
With the appointment of Janosch Bechtel as Business Unit Director of Apparel & Gear, Atomic is now looking to take the next step and bring its experience and passion into the ski apparel segment. Bechtel has over 15 years of experience in product management, with previous roles at Zalando and Red Bull, where he most recently served as Global Senior Product Line Manager for AlphaTauri.
Bechtel’s team oversees strategy, product management, and development directly from the company’s headquarters in Altenmarkt.
“Atomic is a company made up of skiers. For us, skiing is more than a sport—it’s our identity. This identity influences everything we do. Our skiwear is designed and developed by people who have a deep understanding of skiing and the possibilities of textile innovation. With our experience in the mountains, we have developed garments that discerning skiers around the world will love. We make skiwear for skiers, by skiers,” says Janosch Bechtel.
The Revent 3L is a windproof and waterproof, three-layer all-mountain hardshell combination that can be perfectly integrated with other layers for maximum versatility
