Certified B Corporation™ and impact-driven adventure brand, Cotopaxi, is launching the Renovo Collection, one-of-a-kind jackets and vests made from 100% upcycled pre-loved Cotopaxi products. This new collection is designed and produced in partnership with the Portland Garment Factory (PGF), a women-owned, zero-waste fabrication studio. Renovo Collection highlights the brands commitment to sustainability by deepening the circularity story, as creating a product made from upcycled Cotopaxi garments that were overstock, returned, warrantied and unable to be repaired.
“We’re constantly looking into ways we can increase the sustainability of our products and production process,” explains Annie Agle, Vice President of Impact and Sustainability at Cotopaxi. “Part of that process is finding uses for irreparable used and overstock products, but the other component is looking into local partners to produce these items as a way to reduce shipping waste. It’s been an amazing opportunity to launch the Renovo Collection through a partnership with the Portland Garment Factory.”
“Working with Cotopaxi has been a dream and we are thrilled to bring their newest sustainable line of products to life.” comments Britt Howard, Founder of PGF. ” With a shared deep commitment to ethical labor and sustainability practices, we are all about creating meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces, so this collaboration really felt like a match made in B Corp heaven.”
The Renovo Collection, consisting of the Renovo Upcycled Jacket ($300) and Renovo Upcycled Vest ($250). Each item sold will be a unique one-of-a-kind piece and will be available for purchase at cotopaxi.com starting on September 23rd, while supplies last.
