In addition to other features, the brand-new Fenix PD40R V3.0 offers customer’s wants — with greater beam distance, improved switch design, and an SOS mode.

Able to blast a maximum of 3000 lumens, this just-released rechargeable Fenix flashlight has a newly designed, patented mechanical rotary switch with raised grips. This makes it easy to operate the light using only one hand even with gloves on.
There are six lighting modes on the PD40R V3.0, including Strobe and SOS, that can be accessed by rotating the dial. A hard stop before progressing to the flashing modes is an important design addition that prevents accidental activation of these flashing modes and makes this rechargeable flashlight even more user-friendly.
With a beam distance of 1640 ft (500 m), the PD40R V3.0 can throw light 23% farther than its predecessor. A lack of a tail switch allows for this new Fenix light to stand on its tail enabling hands-free illumination. An included body clip also makes it easy to attach the light to a bag, belt, or pocket.
The PD40R V3.0 is IP68-rated and has an all-metal body, making this light reliable in extreme weather.
