Seattle-based Elevate Outdoor Collective (EOC) has tapped Josee Larocque as its new chief operations officer. Larocque was brought in with the goal of spearheading the company’s global operations.
Larocque comes to the company as former senior vice president of business and digital transformation for snowboard giant Burton.
According to a news release, Larocque will lead the Global Operations function for EOC from manufacturing to distribution.
She will focus on using EOC’s manufacturing acumen to bolster the operational backbone of the company, EOC said.
“With Josee, we begin our journey to become a globally aligned operations organization,” said John Colonna, CEO of Elevate Outdoor Collective, in a release.
Larocque worked in global trade and transportation before joining Burton in 1997 and held a variety of roles at the snowboard brand, from operations manager and distribution director to sales and marketing manager.
Elevate Outdoor Collective includes the brands K2 Ski, K2 Snowboarding, Völkl, Marker, Dalbello, LINE, RIDE, BCA, Tubb Snowshoes, Atlas Snowshoes, Madshus and K2 Skates.
Last year, K2 topped NPD Group’s third annual U.S. Outdoor Sports Retail Performance Awards as the fastest-growing brand in the snow sports equipment category.
In July 2022, EOC announced a major shift in its global sales team structure with a focus on amplifying independent brand growth.
