Seattle-based Outdoor Research, a manufacturer of outdoor apparel and gear, promoted three department heads to leadership positions.
After strong growth in 2022, the promotions “help create the structure to continue expanding the OR brand’s reach amongst consumers,” the company said in a news release.
Katarzyna Schoewe was promoted to vice president design and product innovation, Chris King to vice president brand creative, and Alex Lauver to senior director materials innovation and sustainability.
Schoewe previously led the design team as senior creative design director and helped bring the company’s inclusive product line to market. In her new role, she’ll help create a roadmap for commercial production creation and innovation as well as join the executive team.
King will take his experience as senior director of brand creative to his new role to help the company reach “a wider range of consumers, and elevate its content across all marketing channels.”
Lauver, previously director of commercial innovation, will focus even more on sustainability going forward.
“Kat, Chris and Alex have elevated OR’s efforts in product creation, marketing, and sustainability over recent years,” said Roger Barton, president of Outdoor Research. “These promotions recognize their efforts to move Outdoor Research into a leadership position and accelerate the brand’s growth into the future.”
In December 2022, Outdoor Research hired Sarah Seifert as VP of e-commerce.
Outdoor Research, founded in 1981, is a manufacturer of outdoor apparel, accessories and equipment.
